Art can trigger vivid memories and emotions as well as inspiring conversations among people living with dementia who normally struggle to express themselves.
These Aquapaint kits are a reusable water painting product designed and developed by Active minds as a creative, mess free, therapeutic art activity for individuals with dementia.
This activity can help maintain independence and instil a sense of satisfaction and pride. It is also a great activity that the entire family can enjoy when visiting loved ones.
The kit includes 5 different canvases which, when painted with water, reveal a beautiful painted image. Available in 7 different designs, or a set of 5 packs. Brush not included.
Each Aquapaint page is wipe-able, reusable and provides the user with a strong yet subtle outline of the images main subject matter to help suggest which painting lies beneath the dry canvas, without feeling childlike. They dry in around 10 minutes and revert to their original state- to be done again and again. (We have tested it for over 100 uses!) There are hours of pleasure in each pack.
